This restoration project is based at South New Brighton park (Christchurch City Council land) between Ebbtide Street and Bridge Street. The Estuary Trust is working together with the City Council Park rangers and local residents to restore/enhance this earthquake damaged area.
The Estuary Trust is excited to support the Christchurch City Council Park Rangers together with local residents to maintain and enhance this beautiful park. Throughout the year we will be conducting tasks such as planting, weeding, watering, mulching, pruning and collecting litter. Funding for plants and equipment has been provided by the Estuary Trust and Burwood/Pegasus Community Board. Regular working bees will be held inviting local residents to assist. Tools are provided but bring gardening gloves, a water bottle, closed footwear and dress according to weather conditions. Working bees are between 1 pm and 4 pm.
